1. KARNALA FORT
Karnala Fort (also called Funnel Hill ) is a hill fort in Raigad district, Maharashtra, India, about 10 km from Panvel city & about 65 km away from Mumbai. Currently it is a protected place lying within the Karnala Bird Sanctuary. The Karnala Fort was constructed in the 14th century and carries a remarkable history in its heart. The Fort is widely known for its strange pinnacle and the beautiful bird sanctuary that is set up amidst the lush green forests.
2. KALAVANTI - PRABALGAD TREK
Kalavantin Fort is famed as the ‘Climb to Heaven’, owing to its dangerous nature and the bird’s eye view of the immense beauty that await atop.
From the base point (in the village of Thakurwadi) to Kalavantin Durg and the Prabalgad Fort, the trek to this adrenaline-sparking fortress take about a little over three hours and is accessible by zigzag stairs carved into the edges of the rocky mountains.
3. IRSHALGAD FORT
Irshalgad derived its name from Irshal that means the top and 'gad' means the fort. This fort served as a watchtower in previous times due to its pinnacle. A fortress located between Matheran and Panvel in Maharashtra, Irshalgad is a sister fort to Prabalgad. Located near Chauk railway station, it’s a 6.5 km out and back trek. The pinnacle is an easy to moderate difficulty which takes 2 hour to ascend and 1.5 hour to descend.
